Tribute to the Man
It is ironic that I am a feminist yet inlove with fashion for males, but it has everything to do with the fact that clothes are clothes and wether a male or female is wearing it and makes it look good is all that really matters to me.

When Inspiration hits...
I have been approached by local photographer, Dwayne Fredericks of Dwayne Fredericks Photography to style and co-ordinate a fashion photoshoot for a photobook that he is looking to produce AND he offered to do a shoot for my blog. I am extremely excited!
Inspiration is hitting me from all angles. I'm finding it so difficult to fall asleep because I'm constantly waking up to an idea for either an ensemble, a location, make up, a certain look, colours...I could go on and on. What really is amazing is when an idea is no longer an idea, but something feasible.
So, today I leave you with this >>
My infamous boho bag...
I met this girl at Pick 'n Pay yesterday after 'stalking' her for a picture. Here's the scenario:
I was browsing the clothing isle when she pranced into the store clothed in this beautiful ensemble below. I didn't wanna make it too obvious so I quickly switched isles to where she was and braced myself.
Her name's Zee, and at first I thought Zee thought I was crazy coming up from behind her to ask for a picture, but on the contrary, she was really nice to me and even struck a cute pose. I hope she sees this. Thanks Zee :)

Stella got her groove back!
My dad comes into the kitchen the other day and says: "did you see the new minimal make up trend with a pop of colour on the lips, you should try it out..." It's so like my dad, and that is one of the reasons I am so proud to have him as a dad-he pays attention to my interests even when i think he's not at all interested.
So much has been happening; a job offer I just cannot refuse, getting a new car, and working on my first fashion diary project for Just Models Model Agency in East London http://www.facebook.com/pages/Just-Models/141128982567461. My friend Shauna and I have also been learning to sew and sewed our first ever vest out of my gran's floral table cloth; yep, that's what creatives do-the darndest things.
I have been doing alota thrifting and found the most beautiful things!(see pics below). I am hitting Cape Town this weekend and hoping to find a thrift store or two :)
In retrospect, I am doing much better.
'Til I get back, be good.
x
I have finally hit shoe number 100 :). These fuscia hotties I found at YDE. They have electric blue, black and floral white/black, all so stunning!
My mom said she's tired of my things lying around so she found a creative solution to keeping them all in place...what would I do without my Mom!
I am all for minimal make up, unless I do photoshoots then I enjoy dramatic make up because I feel like I am taking up a different persona

Living poor
Lately I've been living poorly. When I say "living poorly" it simply means that I havn't been investing much time in myself to really see where I'm going wrong or doing right, if at all I am. I think it's about that time that I spend the necessary time to make right within and without. I feel like it's time for greater things to happen, and as each day draws to a close, I somewhat get anxious hoping that the next day brings with it the official start to my career, be it in design, fashion, modelling or music. As it is said, only time will tell.
On a ligher note, I was so excited to find a bow-tie from back in my dad's day for my brother to wear(see pics below). I get so excited because, really, there's nothing like the time than the beginning of fashion. When I was younger I thought my mom had no idea of what she was doing dressing me but as I look back, she was the silent influence of my love for fashion-it all began with her. I'll never forget her favourite outfit for me: crop tops and tights in different colours with platform Jellybabies or thongs. And now I'm back inlove (okay, minus the Jellybabies). Fashion sure repeats itself, revived just a lil better each time. Ofcourse I am not a slave to every trend but I am devoted to the fashion world either way.

Every day is Women's Day
Everyday is women's day, 09 August just officiates a day for us women to go all out (and to rub in the fact that women are fast getting onto that same level as men and some even beating them at their own game). It's amazing how far women have come; from behind the stove to behind a wheel, a business and even a politically highstanding position. It's all so amazing to me, and being a self-confessed feminist, I am all for woman empowerment and independence - you strike a woman, you strike a rock!
I hope every woman/girl on MOTHER earth, had an empowering day!
