Assumption is the mother of all... and so are habits

I have a really bad habit of assuming, perhaps it is one of the insecurities I have. My excuse is, I am a woman and we are natural instinctive creatures; always trying to put "two and two together" sometimes three and three. Another one of my bad habits is expecting other's to think like me when ironically I always tell people not to expect other's to think like them since we are all different.

This morning I got to thinking about bad dressing habits. You know the kind where people match everything. The thought birthed when I coincidently matched my undies with my top for the third time this week and I laughed at how ridiculous it looked. Fact is, head to toe matching is just bland, not exciting, very boring, whether you are wearing the finest threads and of course this is just my opinion. What does work like a bomb is black from head to toe, not the goth-like style but classic.

As I wrapped my scarf around my neck this morning I also got to thinking about how interesting texture is. How it somewhat seasons an ensemble effortlessly. Try breaking a plain outfit with a woolen scarf, chunky neckpiece, or a quilt bag, patterned blazer or tweed coat-it adds that little bit of depth that screams 'chic'.

Love randomness about this outfit

Whether oversized or cropped and tied, denim shirts are one of my favorite staples

Bombers are a must have this winter and so stylish

Love the fluffy clutch (notice-texture) and photographers waistcoat

The scarf definately makes this white vest and jeans combo

I want a pair...still no size for me at Mr.price and have not spotted it anywhere else :(

Love this layed back look, especially the red cardigan blazer with gold buttons

Me this morning; the scarf was a super choice for today

The white stockings, moroon and navy blazers, the pussybow blouse and chambray skirt: heart heart heart!!!
