My creative juices are flowing again, and when that happens, I tend to take full advantage of it before deisgners (and writers) block kicks in again. I've been sketching again...it's just a pity I don't own a sewing machine to materialise on my designs because then I'd really make a statement. Needless to say, for the meantime, I'll make do with what I have and that's really a key quality to possess as a child of fashion: being able to make what we like to call "nothing" work. When you complain about having nothing to wear, you probably right because sometimes it's not what you buy, it's how you buy. The reason i have "nothing" to wear is because the heart of my jumble sale that I call a wardrobe is somewhere hidden inside that jumble sale. Embarrassing yes because I've been rather unkind to myself on getting dressed very plain and all these past few days  ...but hey, sometimes plain can work.

All that you get to see here are my own ensembles of fashion finds; what I think could work together and trends I've fallen inlove with. Ever realised how we (fashionistas) tend to fall in and outta love with trends, some we (I) just hate to love, others we tend to over-embrace like our grannies did with us when we were lil kiddies, but in that context and in my opinion that's good, SO, find something that defines you as a person. You don't have to wear it everyday but let it be your signature. That's the begginning of making a statement.

Stripes and floral just does it for me. However you do it, the key word here is: Do It!!!

It's summer and we all want to feel free, what better way than in the clothes we wear. Oversized everything is taking over like green-peace

Oversized tees like the one below can be worn as a dress aswell, paired with gladiator flats and a cinched-in waist with a vintage leather belt. Choose hues rather than bold coloured oversized tees coz then you're just shouting (and ladies don't shout)...reason being, let's say you buy an oversized orange tee(they do exist, bleh) you'll look like an orange and you don't want the nasty galz to say here comes the sun. no no no! Instead opt for feint/dusty pinks, light greys, lemony or a black (faded would look uber vintage) which always works no matter the shape or size of anything. It's about contrast. when a clothing item is huge-ish, tame it with a subtle colour and vice versa.

For a more serious and sexy look into the evening, a choice of nude and black are very femnine yet balanced, making this look easy on the eye. Pair with either red lips or minimal make-up.

Stomp the yard in these babies. Platforms are my new best friend.
