Shauna and I attended a fashion show competition for charity last night hosted by Hudson Park High School showcasing their
student-designers pieces. I especially went to see a fashionisto friend of mine's designs, Quaid, but sad to say that he didn't walk away with the prize this time around even though he was thee showstopper of the evening with his "Girls run the world" inspired range  consisting of black and white lacey numbers, thigh high opaque tights, platforms, exaggerated make up and hair - quite high fashion and very intriguing.

The winner, however, deserved to win since her concept and creativity earned her a win (I have no pictures though, sorry). Her pieces were made entirely out of waste products one would never have thought possible to produce a garment out of. That was quite clever but I was still dissapointed and skeptical of the judges who put Quaid in 3rd place, and I'm going to be loud about this: they didn't have much of an idea of what defines 'fashion' because second place was taken by a designer who was dressed better than her models wearing her range, doesn't make any sense at all.

Nontheless, it was an eventful evening of highs and lows. Check out the pics below of my two favourites, Yonela and Quaid.
