I LOVE, I WANT

There's a certain kind of happiness that accompanies Spring/Summer; the bright colours, lovely warm days, ice cream dates and saltwater forms part of that anticipated happiness within but I am particularly looking forward to this Spring/Summer because it will be a time that takes me to the threshold of adulthood - my 21st birthday.

I have changed in many ways but many things have remained the same simply by nature: I am still avidly day dreaming, fashion conscious, empathetic, impatient, ambitious and still throw my clothes on the floor but I have grown so much, realised so much, learnt so much and been much inspired through that growing process. Physical growth (and ageing) is inevitable, it's internal growth which concerns me. I think the most important part about growing up is that you don't grow APART FROM yourself, always ensuring that you stay true to who you really are and aspire to be.

This season is calling me to snakeskin (preferably grey - not the in your face kind), bow-ties, patched denim, denim and cool light fabric shirts as well as stripes. I must admit that my love for floral is slowly dying (it really depends on the type of style though) only because we fell inlove way before everybody else had it's way with it. I love the quilted leather shorts that Rumi Neely is wearing from Fashiontoast. I suddenly have this weird fixation with leather in these Summer days - there is no understanding a fashion mind I guess.

Tribute to the Man

It is ironic that I am a feminist yet inlove with fashion for males, but it has everything to do with the fact that clothes are clothes and wether a male or female is wearing it and makes it look good is all that really matters to me.

I have also been getting many requests to see men's fashion on fashionfool so this one is for the fashionisto's >>

When Inspiration hits...

I have been approached by local photographer, Dwayne Fredericks of Dwayne Fredericks Photography to style and co-ordinate a fashion photoshoot for a photobook that he is looking to produce AND he offered to do a shoot for my blog. I am extremely excited!

Inspiration is hitting me from all angles. I'm finding it so difficult to fall asleep because I'm constantly waking up to an idea for either an ensemble, a location, make up, a certain look, colours...I could go on and on. What really is amazing is when an idea is no longer an idea, but something feasible.

So, today I leave you with this >>

My infamous boho bag...

I met this girl at Pick 'n Pay yesterday after 'stalking' her for a picture. Here's the scenario:
I was browsing the clothing isle when she pranced into the store clothed in this beautiful ensemble below. I didn't wanna make it too obvious so I quickly switched isles to where she was and braced myself.

Her name's Zee, and at first I thought Zee thought I was crazy coming up from behind her to ask for a picture, but on the contrary, she was really nice to me and even struck a cute pose. I hope she sees this. Thanks Zee :)

Stella got her groove back!

My dad comes into the kitchen the other day and says: "did you see the new minimal make up trend with a pop of colour on the lips, you should try it out..." It's so like my dad, and that is one of the reasons I am so proud to have him as a dad-he pays attention to my interests even when i think he's not at all interested.

So much has been happening; a job offer I just cannot refuse, getting a new car, and working on my first fashion diary project for Just Models Model Agency in East London http://www.facebook.com/pages/Just-Models/141128982567461. My friend Shauna and I have also been learning to sew and sewed our first ever vest out of my gran's floral table cloth; yep, that's what creatives do-the darndest things.

I have been doing alota thrifting and found the most beautiful things!(see pics below). I am hitting Cape Town this weekend and hoping to find a thrift store or two :)

In retrospect, I am doing much better.

'Til I get back, be good.

I have finally hit shoe number 100 :). These fuscia hotties I found at YDE. They have electric blue, black and floral white/black, all so stunning!

My mom said she's tired of my things lying around so she found a creative solution to keeping them all in place...what would I do without my Mom!

I am all for minimal make up, unless I do photoshoots then I enjoy dramatic make up because I feel like I am taking up a different persona
